In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE ROYAL & SUNALLIANCE COLLECTION, which included the work Portrait of Colonel, The Lord Astor of Hever, seated by Alfred Kingsley Lawrence. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 480.00 (€ 708.63), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Kingsley Lawrence have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study of a female nude in July last year with an auction result of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,814.92).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE ROYAL & SUNALLIANCE COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Colonel, The Lord Astor of Hever, seated von Alfred Kingsley Lawrence zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 708,63) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Kingsley Lawrence auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study of a female nude im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.814,92).
