Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Griselda by Alfred Drury was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,913.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Drury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,563.22).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.913,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Drury mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.563,22) versteigert wurde.
