Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Old Man Of The Sea by Alfred Daniels was sold in the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in September 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,681.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Daniels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian Card Party in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,761.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Old Man Of The Sea von Alfred Daniels wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.681,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Daniels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian Card Party im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.761,59).
