It achieved a price of GBP 776.75 (€ 1,173.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. Admittedly, works by Alfred Daniels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian Card Party in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,761.59).

Die Arbeit Thames Tugs, Cherry Tree Wharf von Alfred Daniels kam im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 1.173,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Daniels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian Card Party im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.761,59).
