Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Her Prized Possessions by Alfred C. Weatherstone. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 702.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred C. Weatherstone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tender Thoughts in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,794.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Her Prized Possessions von Alfred C. Weatherstone zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 702,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred C. Weatherstone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tender Thoughts im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.794,15).
