The work Faisan by Alfred Barye was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2006. It achieved a price of EUR 780.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Barye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vermout, cheval de course in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,106.74).

Die Arbeit Faisan von Alfred Barye kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 780,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Barye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vermout, cheval de course im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.106,74).
