Auction result well in line with expectations
The work South African Baule Blolo Bian Figure by Alexis Preller was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,811.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexis Preller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mapogga Women with a Child, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 56,500.00 (€ 66,987.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit South African Baule Blolo Bian Figure von Alexis Preller kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.811,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexis Preller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mapogga Women with a Child beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 56.500,00 (€ 66.987,11) versteigert wurde.
