The work Cupide by Alexis-Joseph Mazerolle was sold in the The European Art Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 15,499.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cupide is the most expensive artwork by Alexis-Joseph Mazerolle that we have observed at auctions so far.
