Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Sunset Over The Sea by Alexei Vasilievich Hanzen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,440.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Alexei Vasilievich Hanzen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2015 the work At Dusk was auctioned for GBP 36,250.00 (€ 49,225.76).
