It achieved a price of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 306,256.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Alexei Petrovich Bogoliubov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moscow. View of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour from the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).

Die Arbeit Venice By Moonlight von Alexei Petrovich Bogoliubov wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Russian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 306.256,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%.
