Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Entrance Of The Russian Fleet Into Toulon Harbour by Alexei Petrovich Bogoliubov was sold in the Russian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 287,998.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexei Petrovich Bogoliubov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moscow. View of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour from the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).
