A top price for Alexei Prokopenko - as previously expected
The work Picnic by Alexei Prokopenko was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 4,926.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Picnic is the most expensive artwork by Alexei Prokopenko that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Picnic von Alexei Prokopenko kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 4.926,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Picnic das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alexei Prokopenko, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
