Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La vallée de Courtry (Seine-et-Marne) by Alexandre Ségé was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,359.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Ségé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Vallée De Courtry (Seine-Et-Marne) , which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,922.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La vallée de Courtry (Seine-et-Marne) von Alexandre Ségé im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.359,98) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Ségé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Vallée De Courtry (Seine-Et-Marne) beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.922,68) versteigert wurde.
