In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work The Slave Song by Alexandre-Louis Leloir. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,190.00 (€ 39,377.06), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre-Louis Leloir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Musical Interlude, which sold at auction in October 2005 for USD 96,000.00 (€ 80,033.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Slave Song von Alexandre-Louis Leloir zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.190,00 (€ 39.377,06) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Louis Leloir mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Musical Interlude beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für USD 96.000,00 (€ 80.033,35) versteigert wurde.
