Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Dialogue With Malevich by Alexander Yakut. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,785.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Yakut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Uzbekistan, Midnight. Sleeping Donkey, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 39,823.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dialogue With Malevich von Alexander Yakut zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.785,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Yakut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Uzbekistan, Midnight. Sleeping Donkey beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 31.700,00 (€ 39.823,06) versteigert wurde.
