Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Costume Design For A Musketeer by Alexander Khvostenko-Khvostov. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,159.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Alexander Khvostenko-Khvostov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work The Dancer was auctioned for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 11,213.60).

Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume Design For A Musketeer von Alexander Khvostenko-Khvostov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.159,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Alexander Khvostenko-Khvostov konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2012 die Arbeit The Dancer für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 11.213,60) versteigert.
