Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a young girl by Alexander Roslin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,312.50 (€ 5,899.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Roslin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work PORTRAITS OF LOUIS AND OF MARGUERITE DE CONZIÉ (1697-1763 AND 1721-1786) in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 387,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl von Alexander Roslin kam im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.312,50 (€ 5.899,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Roslin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit PORTRAITS OF LOUIS AND OF MARGUERITE DE CONZIÉ (1697-1763 AND 1721-1786) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 387.600,00.
