Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Landscape With Trees by Alexander Bogomazov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 106,217.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Bogomazov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landschaft mit sitzender Frau. in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 500,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Trees von Alexander Bogomazov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 106.217,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Bogomazov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landschaft mit sitzender Frau. im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 500.000,00.
