Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Calanques Near Marseilles by Alexander Isailov was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,556.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Isailov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ansicht von Venedig., which sold at auction in September 2018 for CHF 18,500.00 (€ 16,312.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Calanques Near Marseilles von Alexander Isailov im Juni 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.556,42) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Isailov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ansicht von Venedig. beobachtet, die im September 2018 für CHF 18.500,00 (€ 16.312,85) versteigert wurde.
