This artwork by Alexander Ignatius Roche achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in May this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Springtime - Children amongst the trees sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,263.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Ignatius Roche have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Looking Glass in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,286.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Ignatius Roche erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Springtime - Children amongst the trees für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.263,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Ignatius Roche auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Looking Glass im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.286,84).
