Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Harlequin by Alexander Evgenievich Yakovlev was worth GBP 730,000.00 (€ 825,024.41) to a buyer in June 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander Evgenievich Yakovlev; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Battle Of The Warriors sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 916,500.00 (€ 1,283,337.11).
