Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Anxiety by Alexander Dmitrievich Tikhomirov. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,351.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Dmitrievich Tikhomirov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Street In Palanga, which sold at auction in June 2020 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,403.19).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anxiety von Alexander Dmitrievich Tikhomirov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.351,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Dmitrievich Tikhomirov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Street In Palanga beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.403,19) versteigert wurde.
