Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Basement Wall by Alexander Boghossian for USD 8,925.00 (€ 7,319.17). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Boghossian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Composition in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 175,075.00 (€ 157,032.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Basement Wall von Alexander Boghossian für USD 8.925,00 (€ 7.319,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Boghossian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Composition im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.075,00 (€ 157.032,02).
