Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work In the Beast's Belly by Alexander Boghossian. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 2,927.67), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Boghossian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Composition in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 175,075.00 (€ 157,032.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Beast's Belly von Alexander Boghossian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 2.927,67) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Boghossian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Composition im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.075,00 (€ 157.032,02).
