Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moment of Reflection by Alex Nwokolo was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,493.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alex Nwokolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fragmented Hope in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,116.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moment of Reflection von Alex Nwokolo kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.493,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Nwokolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fragmented Hope im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.116,50).
