The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,742.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alesso di Benozzo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child Before A Cloth-Of-Honour Held Aloft By Two Angels, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 161,256.79).
