This artwork by Alexander Kurkin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Russian Icons and Pictures Including works by Non-Conformist Artists auction, the work Puppet sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander Kurkin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Klostertischdecke. 1979. sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of CHF 13,200.00 (€ 8,216.05).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Kurkin erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Icons and Pictures Including works by Non-Conformist Artists wurde die Arbeit Puppet für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alexander Kurkin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Klostertischdecke. 1979. im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 13.200,00 (€ 8.216,05).
