Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work Still Life Of Dead Game Birds, Gherkins, A Melon And Walnuts All On A Wooden Table by Albrecht Kauw. The price achieved of USD 118,750.00 (€ 105,181.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Albrecht Kauw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2006 the work A table laden with a salmon, cod, a blond ray, pike, herring and other fish and shells with a girl holding a wooden pail was auctioned for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 129,895.44).
