In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, from: The Apocalypse by Albrecht Dürer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,364.82), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Dürer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Being Nailed To The Cross in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 806,868.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, from: The Apocalypse von Albrecht Dürer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.364,82) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Dürer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ Being Nailed To The Cross im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 874.000,00 (€ 806.868,54).
