Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Virgin and Child with Two Boys (B. 15; Winzinger 102; New Holl. e16) by Albrecht Altdorfer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 756.00 (€ 886.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Altdorfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,528.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Virgin and Child with Two Boys (B. 15; Winzinger 102; New Holl. e16) von Albrecht Altdorfer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 756,00 (€ 886,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Altdorfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.528,81).
