Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Virgin with the Child on an Altar ('The beautiful Virgin of Regensburg') by Albrecht Altdorfer for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,477.35). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Altdorfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,528.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Virgin with the Child on an Altar ('The beautiful Virgin of Regensburg') von Albrecht Altdorfer für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.477,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Altdorfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.528,81).
