Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albrecht Altdorfer could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne at the Cradle changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 976.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Altdorfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,528.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albrecht Altdorfer konnte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne at the Cradle für GBP 875,00 (€ 976,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Altdorfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spies returning from the promised land (Joshua and Caleb) im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.528,81).
