Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In der Schlacht an der Moscwa: Napoleon's army during the Battle of Borodino, Moscow by Albrecht Adam was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Adam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Das Gefecht bei Pápa am 12. Juni 1809. 1844. in September 2015 with an auction result of CHF 204,500.00 (€ 187,461.39).
