The auction ended at the price of USD 180,000.00 (€ 133,136.09), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alberto da Veiga Guignard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vaso de Flores in May last year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 845,401.17).

Die Arbeit Flores von Alberto da Veiga Guignard kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 180.000,00 (€ 133.136,09) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto da Veiga Guignard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vaso de Flores im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 845.401,17).
