This artwork by Albert Wenmaekers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in April 2006. In the Intérieurs auction, the work Lavandières Au Bord D'Un Étang; Etable Dans la Campagne sold for EUR 540.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Wenmaekers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Salies de Béarn; Villefranche; Côte Méditerrannéenne sold at auction in April 2006 with the realized price of EUR 780.00.
