Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Portrait Of Anthony Alexander Clay, When A Child, Circa 1840 by Albert Theer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 882.00 (€ 1,014.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Albert Theer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Portrait of a young boy dressed in a uniform was auctioned for GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,266.78).

Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Anthony Alexander Clay, When A Child, Circa 1840 von Albert Theer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 882,00 (€ 1.014,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
