In December 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Belgian Ijsplezier Op De Leie by Albert Saverys. The result of EUR 4,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Saverys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The River Lys In Winter in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 26,650.00.
