Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albert Pollitt could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A river running through a mountainous landscape changed hands for GBP 176.25 (€ 282.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Pollitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mouth of The Lee in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,488.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
