Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Highland cattle by a river, near Brodick, Arran; and On the slopes of Ben Venue by Albert Dunington was sold in the British and Victorian Paintings auction at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 657.25 (€ 986.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Dunington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work East Loch Tarbert - Loch Fyne, Rothesay; and Ardbeg and Coroal Hill, Rothesay, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 1,938.75 (€ 3,128.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Highland cattle by a river, near Brodick, Arran; and On the slopes of Ben Venue von Albert Dunington wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion British and Victorian Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 657,25 (€ 986,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Dunington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit East Loch Tarbert - Loch Fyne, Rothesay; and Ardbeg and Coroal Hill, Rothesay beobachtet, die im März 2001 für GBP 1.938,75 (€ 3.128,37) versteigert wurde.
