Despite a disappointment, a good price for Alain Elbaz
This work of art by Alain Elbaz could be acquired at Artcurial in Paris in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sale Benefiting to Ecoles de l'Espoir auction, the work Autoportrait changed hands for EUR 840.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Despite this disappointing result, Autoportrait is the most expensive artwork by Alain Elbaz that we have observed at auction so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alain Elbaz konnte im November 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Sale Benefiting to Ecoles de l'Espoir wechselte die Arbeit Autoportrait für EUR 840,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00.
