A top price for Ahmed Abdel Wahab - as previously expected
In December 2019 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work Son of the Nile by Ahmed Abdel Wahab. The price achieved of GBP 5,062.50 (€ 5,983.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Son of the Nile is the most expensive artwork by Ahmed Abdel Wahab that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2019 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Son of the Nile von Ahmed Abdel Wahab zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.062,50 (€ 5.983,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Son of the Nile das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ahmed Abdel Wahab, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
