The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,602.86), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian Ryan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Canal At Moret-Sur-Loing, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,186.57).
