Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A kitchen interior with a mother and child by Adriaen van Ostade was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 293,176.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adriaen van Ostade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Drinker: Three boors drinking and smoking in a spirit house in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,051,650.00 (€ 1,614,335.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A kitchen interior with a mother and child von Adriaen van Ostade wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 293.176,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van Ostade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Drinker: Three boors drinking and smoking in a spirit house im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.051.650,00 (€ 1.614.335,41).
