Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction DUTCH, FLEMISH AND GERMAN OLD MASTER DRAWINGS, which included the work An Italianate river landscape with travellers on a road near a fortified town by Adriaen Frans Boudewijns. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 2,106.36 (€ 986.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen Frans Boudewijns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with travellers and a cart and horse; and A wooded landscape with travellers, a castle beyond in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,544.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion DUTCH, FLEMISH AND GERMAN OLD MASTER DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italianate river landscape with travellers on a road near a fortified town von Adriaen Frans Boudewijns zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 2.106,36 (€ 986,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen Frans Boudewijns erzielen.
