Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work French Leda And The Swan, Diana With A Stag: Two Works by Adolphe Yvon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 25,415.11). Admittedly, works by Adolphe Yvon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The departure of the chief in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 115,934.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit French Leda And The Swan, Diana With A Stag: Two Works von Adolphe Yvon im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 37.500,00 (€ 25.415,11) den Besitzer.
