It achieved a price of USD 2,167.50 (€ 2,019.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 45%. Admittedly, works by Adolphe Borie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edith Pettit in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,804.60).

Die Arbeit Nude Seated in a Wing Chair 20 1/8 x 12 in. (51.1 x 30.5 cm.) von Adolphe Borie wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 2.019,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 45%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolphe Borie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edith Pettit im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.804,60).
