Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work An allegory of Spring by Adolf Lins. The price achieved of GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,720.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolf Lins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Goose Girl, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 11,950.00 (€ 10,293.74).
