Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sharing a drink by Adolf Humborg was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,125.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolf Humborg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Making eggnog, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,615.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sharing a drink von Adolf Humborg wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.125,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolf Humborg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Making eggnog beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.615,48) versteigert wurde.
