A top price for Adam Colonia - as previously expected
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Important British Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman by Adam Colonia. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,876.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait Of A Gentleman is the most expensive artwork by Adam Colonia that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman von Adam Colonia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.876,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Portrait Of A Gentleman das teuerste Kunstwerk von Adam Colonia, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
