Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pomegranates by Achilleas Droungas was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,656.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Achilleas Droungas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek From My Balcony, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,136.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pomegranates von Achilleas Droungas wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.656,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Achilleas Droungas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek From My Balcony beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.136,13) versteigert wurde.
